I wanted to carve a warrior angel for my youngest son's wedding present, but I couldn't find any pictures that were what I was looking for. So, I designed this one myself. I started with a picture of a man fencing, changed his outfit to more like what it would have been in Jesus' day, added a shield, and then wings. The wings and shield arm are separate pieces.
